Coco Maria & Deejay Theory in the Divine Theater
at De La Luz in Holyoke

MORE LOVE, our club night collaboration with Original Ting & De La Luz, heads into episode six in October and we’re clearing the decks for our first international visitor. Artist/selector/radio host Coco Maria (Club Coco, Bongo Joe) joins us from Amsterdam with some deeply-researched gems in global groove: past, present and future.

Her morning radio show on Gilles’ Peterson’s Worldwide FM has garnered listeners across the planet. She now tours regularly across five continents with her unique fusion of classical and modern tropical sounds, playing at the biggest festivals from Glastonbury to Bahidora, We Out Here, Dekmantel, and others.

We’re taking this party into De La Luz’s Divine Theater for a deeper hang: gorgeous wooden dance floor, reinforced sound + light, cozy corners, and a bar. Deejay Theory kicks off the night at 8PM and we’ll go late as always!

CLUB COCO: NEW DIMENSIONS IN LATIN MUSIC

A New England native by way of San Francisco, Jake Krauth has been swimming in international musical waters for most of his adult life. While out West, he co-founded and hosted TORMENTA TROPICAL, a decade-long dance party in SF’s Mission district. His in-demand DJ sets diffuse a multiplicity of genres with careful craftsmanship, exquisitely blended with near-zero turbulence and maximal groove.

GENRES TO EXPECT: Dancehall, Tropical Bass, Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afro House
